A new, third Thursday Brown Bag Lunch Lecture Series is beginning. The series features guest speakers who work to protect the California Desert. Bring your own brown bag lunch, beverages provided, and enjoy an hour of networking with informative and lively conversations about desert conservation, land stewardship and wildlife. The first presentation in the series begins with a meet-and-greet on Thursday, February 18, with Monica L. Mahoney, Mojave Desert Land Trust’s new director of programs and community initiatives. All the lectures begin at noon at the MDLT Headquarters, 60124 29 Palms Hwy. in Joshua Tree. All the lectures are free and open to the public.
