On Saturday, October 19, Mojave Desert Land Trust invites you and stewards for a fun day of desert restoration and cleanup in the Coyote Hole area of Joshua Tree. The Trust plans to restore a road and clean the area, and urges you to invite any family and friends who would like to be involved in this effort. You also will learn valuable desert restoration techniques that you can apply in your own backyard. The cleanup is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meeting place is the end of Easterly Drive in Joshua Tree. Participants are urged to bring water, lunch, snacks, gloves, sunglasses (for eye protection), long sleeve shirt, long pants, sunscreen, wide brim hat, and hiking boots. RSVP to Miz Hanford at 760-366-2925 or email [email protected] for a map and driving directions.
