Mojave Desert Land Trust Director Nancy Karl Resigns

After nearly seven years at the helm of the Mojave Desert Land Trust, the executive director is resigning. Under the stewardship of Nancy Karl, the MDLT has acquired and preserved 47,114 acres of desert land. She led efforts to save the 955 acres bordering Joshua Tree National Park known as the Quail Mountain project; Section 33, 647 acres near the west entrance of the town of Joshua Tree; as well as numerous in-holdings in the Mojave National Preserve, Joshua Tree National Park and Death Valley National Park.  Danielle Segura the Current MDLT Director of Development, has been appointed executive director. The public is invited to a walk and program to honor Karl on Saturday, March 29, at 10 a.m. at the base of the Quail Mountain Property, at the corner of Skyline Road and Sunset Road in Joshua Tree.
