MOJAVE DESERT LAND TRUST CLEAN-UP DAY SATURDAY

The Mojave Desert Land Trust, along with partners California Conservation Corps, the Conservation Lands Foundation, and the Bureau of Land Management, are sponsoring a desert clean-up, trail maintenance, and restoration day in the Hondo Wash in Flamingo Heights, in the Sand-to-Snow National Monument. The event supports training, mentorship, and paid job opportunities in natural resources management and related fields for post-9/11 military veterans. The clean-up starts at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Meet at 55200 Hondo Street, at the intersection of Hondo and Kickapoo Trail in the Flamingo Heights area of Yucca Valley.
