MOJAVE DESERT LAND TRUST ACQUIRES PROPERTY FOR JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK

The Mojave Desert Land Trust has purchased two 40-acre parcels in the southwest section of Joshua Tree National Park. The properties were both purchased from private parties in a mountainous area of the park. The parcels were originally outside the park boundaries when it was a national monument, but were included when it became a national park. The Mojave Desert Land Trust plans to convey the properties to Joshua Tree National Park.
