Cleghorn Lakes Wilderness

The Mojave Desert Land Trust has acquired another 265 acres of land within four wilderness areas across the Mojave Desert this Spring. These land parcels include 72 acres in the Kingston Range Wilderness Southeast of Death Valley National Park, 160 acres of desert tortoise habitat in the Kelso Dunes Wilderness between Mojave National Preserve and Mojave Trails National Monument, 28 acres of desert land in the Cleghorn Lakes Wilderness bordering Mojave Trails National Monument, and five acres in the Palen McCoy Wilderness East of Joshua Tree National Park. To date, MDLT has acquired over 23,000 acres of wilderness land.
