The Mojave Brass, a local quintet, is the next concert in the Community Concert Series at Desert Hills Presbyterian Church in Yucca Valley. The band is composed of Steve Caron on horn; Bill Barrett and Dale Colgrove on trumpet; Carl Vanderzee on euphonium; and Mark Masker on tuba. The Mojave Brass will perform a wide variety of music from Renaissance to 20th Century, including Victor Ewald, Brass Quintet no. 1, and classic songs such Stardust, As Time Goes By, and a West Side Story Suite. Light refreshments will follow the concert. A suggested donation of $8 will be accepted at the door. The concert starts at 2 p.m. Desert Hills Presbyterian Church is located at 56750 Mountain View Trail in Yucca Valley.
