An “Old Timey” general store exhibit is opening in Landers. The “Moharve Mercantile,” named for founders Harvey and Monika Legrone, is a recreation of a mid-twentieth century general store, and it is being relocated from Pioneertown to the Morongo Basin Historical Society Museum next weekend. There will be a grand opening celebration with outdoor family fun and games Saturday, October 16, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum is located at 632 Landers Lane, and you can find more information about the exhibit and the event at MorongoBasinHistoricalSociety.com
