The Morongo Basin Healthcare District’s Mobile Medical Unit could be in your neighborhood in July. It will be at the Twentynine Palms Senior Center Tuesday, July 9, from 9 to 1; at the Yucca Mesa Community Center Wednesday, July 17, from 10 to 2; at Tortoise Rock Casino in Twentynine Palms Thursday, July 18, from 11 to 3; at the Sportsman’s Lodge in Joshua Tree on Monday, July 29, from 10 to 2; and at the Wonder Valley Community Center on Wednesday, July 31, from 9 to 1. A nurse practitioner will be on board, providing primary medical care and screenings, and if necessary, prescribing lab tests and refilling prescriptions. Most insurances are accepted. Care is provided regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Appointments are encouraged.
