The Morongo Basin Healthcare District’s Mobile Medical Unit could be in your neighborhood in November. It will be at the Center for Healthy Generations in Yucca Valley on Thursday, November 7, from 10 to 1; at the Wonder Valley Community Center Tuesday, November 19, from 9 to 1; at the Twentynine Palms Senior Center on Thursday, November 21, from 10 to 1; and at Tortoise Rock Casino in Twentynine Palms Saturday, November 23, from 11 to 2. A nurse practitioner will be on board, providing primary medical care and screenings, and if necessary, prescribing lab tests and refilling prescriptions. Most insurances are accepted. Care is provided regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Appointments are encouraged.
