A 17-year-old Yucca Valley teenager who was reported missing Monday was found safe Thursday evening. Dakota Conner was reported missing at 7 a.m. Monday from his home in the 6400 block of Indio Avenue in Yucca Valley. The Sheriff’s Department launched an extensive search for Conner, using deputies, helicopters, K9 search dogs, and search and rescue volunteers.
Just after 6 p.m. Thursday, a resident spotted Conner in the Yucca Valley Walmart. Deputies responded and found the teenager locked in the family restroom. Dakota Conner was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center and later released to his parents. The Sheriff’s Department thanks residents their help in locating Dakota Conner.
