The National Park Service have initiated a search for a missing Twentynine Palms man in Joshua Tree National Park. The national park received a report of the missing man on Thursday, June 10. Patrick Lynn Welz, 38 was last seen on June 5 when he drove to Riverside to visit his father. Park staff located his truck in the Indian Cove parking lot on June 10. Welz is described as a white male, 5’10”, 197 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has both a dragon and a United State Marine Corps insignia tattoo on his arms. He is believed to have been wearing a white tee shirt, blue jeans, and either tennis shoes or black work boots. Joshua Tree rangers are asking anyone who may have seen or talked to Welz to please call or text the NPS Investigation Tip Line at 760-401-3075.
