Updated 10/23: David Lewis of Johnson Valley has been located

Updated 10/23/25: The Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station released an update on their social media accounts saying that David Lewis has been located. No further information was released.

A 42 year-old man from Johnson Valley has been reported as missing and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for help in locating him.

David Lewis is approximately 6 foot 1 inches tall and weighs around 300 pounds. Lewis has brown hair and hazel eyes, and may be clean shaven.

At the time of his disappearance, Lewis was last seen wearing a blue shirt, black shorts and black shoes. Lewis is believed to be driving a 2008 Chevy Silverado with California license plate 9317V3.

The Sheriff’s Morongo Basin station says that on Friday, September 28th, they were dispatched to the 4800 block of Saddle Rock Way in Johnson Valley where it was discovered that David Lews was voluntarily missing and left the residence on September 26th with an unknown destination.
