The Rotary Club of Yucca Valley’s 2019 Miss Yucca Valley Scholarship Pageant is set for this Saturday, February 9, at 6 p.m. at the Joshua Springs Thunderdome on Joshua Lane in Yucca Valley. The annual pageant is not a beauty contest, but it awards college scholarships to girls who are poised, congenial, and relaxed with the public. This program teaches young girls important life skills that they will carry with them throughout their lives. There are 11 contestants for the 2019 pageant; Amber Albert, Aaliyah Broussard, Isabella Falossi, Kylie Felan, Nellie Gutierrez. Kenya Humphrey, Annabelle Hunt, Marissa Lindley, Sierra Rogers, Neryssa Tarrant and Stephanie Whyel. Miss Yucca Valley and her court serve as good will ambassadors for the Town of Yucca Valley for an entire year following their coronation in February. One of the unique aspects of the pageant is the 2018 current Miss Yucca Valley court trains the new girls for the next term.
