Z107.7 News was informed the night of the scholarship pageant that Rachel Kee had dropped out of the competition.
The Rotary Club of Yucca Valley will host the 51st annual Miss Yucca Valley Scholarship Pageant. The pageant will be held Saturday, February 3, at 6 p.m. at the Joshua Springs Thunder Dome. The pageant is not a beauty contest but is based on academics and poise. The junior girls competing this year are Rachel Kee, Carley Price, Angelina Quirante, Kierra Rivers, Kylie Taylor, Madison Tuttle, and Randee Zeller. Expect a heartwarming evening. During the pageant, the girls must give a speech about a local woman who has inspired them; answer questions put to them by emcees Gary and Cindy Daigneault of Z107.7; perform a dance routine as a group; and walk the stage in a formal gown. The girl crowned Miss Yucca Valley will receive a $2,500 scholarship. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. All proceeds go towards scholarships.
