The Minerva Hoyt California Desert Conservation Award is meant to recognize individuals or organizations who have made notable achievements toward conservation of the California desert through legislative action or public policy; advanced research leading to conservation knowledge; fostered conservation partnerships and collaborations; or created stronger public stewardship through education and outreach.
