The Joshua Tree National Park Association has announced that Cindy Zacks is the winner of the 13th annual Minerva Hoyt California Desert Conservation Award. The award honors those who have been an example of environmental leadership, inspiring past and future generations to take on the challenges the California deserts face. An award ceremony to honor Zacks will be held at the Yucca Valley High School April 12. The event is by invitation only.
