Military Training will increase noise coming from Combat Center this month

The Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center has issued an advisory about an increase in noise in August and the first half of September.

A series of training events called a Service Level Training Exercise, involving Marines and Joint Forces, will be taking place in and around the Twentynine Palms base, which provinces service-level assessments of units and their support and assets, and includes training with live fire.

The training is currently underway, and is expected to last until September 17. Cloud coverage in the Morongo Basin may amplify the sounds from the training exercises.
