A new art exhibit opens in Twentynine Palms tomorrow. Reporter Mike Lipsitz has your invitation…

“Listening to the Desert: Military Musings,” the new exhibition by Art in Public Places in collaboration with Mil-Tree opens tomorrow, January 5, at Twentynine Palms Visitor Center & Art Gallery and Chamber of Commerce. The downtown Twentynine Palms gallery is on the Highway at Desert Queen Avenue. The opening reception is from 2 :30 to 4 p.m. The public is welcome to attend. It’s all part of Art Cruise 29! First Saturdays. Come for the music, appetizers, and to meet the artists and see their work of course. Mil-Tree arts organization aims to bring veterans, active duty military, and civilians together through arts and dialogue. “Listening to the Desert: Military Musings” runs through March 29.
