MIL-TREE WOVEN WINDOWS PROJECT STARTS APRIL 30

Mil-Tree offers Woven Windows: Exploring the Inner and Outer Landscapes. This 3 week project starting April 30 invites veterans, Marines, their families, and community members to come together, learn the history of the land, explore how the land nourish’s the soul, and build a plant-based temporary sculpture. Have fun being active, expressive, and creating something beautiful that honors the past and looks forward to the future. Ben Allanoff will lead the build, Jenny Kane will lead the hiking with time to sketch and journal, and Elder Kim Marcus of the Cahuilla and Serrano community with talk to us about the history of the land, the people, the plants and the animals. This project is sponsored by the California Art Council and is FREE. For more details and timeline, please contact us at [email protected] or go to mil-tree.org.
