MIL-TREE TO HOST VIRTUAL SPOKEN WORD EVENT

With large public gatherings still on hold during the pandemic, the Mil-Tree organization has still found a way to bring the community together for its annual spoken word event on August 30. Reporter Heather Clisby has details…

Mil-Tree, an organization that unites veterans, active duty personnel and civilians for creative projects, is hosting its annual spoken word event on August 30. Due to COVID-19, the event, Live From Joshua Tree 2020, will be online.

Hosted by Mil-Tree Founder Cheryl Montelle and produced by Robbi Robb of Furst Wurld Productions, the virtual live event kicks off at 7 p.m. Featured speakers include Kim Stringfellow, Ken Layne, Miri Hunter, Ted Quinn, Elise Kost and Kate McCabe.

The event is free and can be accessed from the website, livefromjoshuatree.com.
