A Memorial Day service is taking place at the Twentynine Palms Public Cemetery on Monday, May 30th. Memorial wreaths from the community will go on display starting at 4 o’clock, with the main ceremony starting at 6PM and a dessert reception at 7. The Marine Color Guard will join two Gold Star presenters alongside guest speaker and former Marine Lorraine Chamberlain for the ceremony honoring military personnel who have died while serving. Any community members or businesses interested in presenting a memorial wreath should have it ready and delivered to the district by Saturday the 28th.
