MEMORIAL DAY OBSERVANCES IN 29 PALMS AND JOSHUA TREE

Memorial Day is the traditional day to remember and pay tribute to those who have served our country in the military. The Twentynine Palms Public Cemetery will hold a Memorial Day service 9 a.m. Monday, May 26. Major General David Berger from the Combat Center will be the guest speaker, and the Marine Color Guard and firing detail will also be present. The public is invited to attend. The Joshua Tree Memorial Park will hold its 13th annual Memorial Day observance on Monday, May 26, starting at 11 a.m. The event will feature military ceremonies, a free barbecue, festival activities, and live music. The public is invited to join the free celebration at the cemetery, located on the south side of the highway in Joshua Tree.
