You may have noticed a new voice here at Z107.7. Every so often we are lucky enough to bring an intern on board with us to learn the ins and outs of the broadcast business; that’s how we met Andrew Dieleman. The program is for third- and fourth-year college students interested in getting work experience before graduating. Thanks to Cal State San Bernardino, we have another intern. Meet LaVickie Patterson, a Cal State San Bernardino student interning at Z107.7 majoring in public relations. Patterson is a military veteran looking forward to her time here at the station.
“So the fun part about being an intern is getting to have more one-on-one time and actually learning the equipment and learning new ways of how the radio operates.”
And after graduation…
“My goal is to be active and working in media either with learning broadcasting of radio or learning reporting, and actually going into that field after leaving Cal State University San Bernardino, and maybe even furthering my education along the way to gain a master’s in Communication Studies, either in public relations or mass media.”
