Local voters are invited to meet candidates for two 2015 local elections at a free “meat and greet” deli sandwich bar from 5 to 7 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 11, in the pavilion at Morongo Valley’s Covington Park, 11165 Vale Drive. A second event is planned for October 3 at the Landers Brewery. Voters will be able to meet Matthew Campos, a first-time candidate for director on the Morongo Valley Community Services District, and Mike McBride, an incumbent running for re-election to the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency board of directors.
