MBTA BOARD MEETS TOMORROW

The Morongo Basin Transit Authority, which delayed its meeting last week, will start its regular meeting at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 1 via an online platform. Among the items on the agenda, the board of directors will be asked to enter into an agreement to pre-fund Other Post-Employment Benefits with CalPERS, and to establish a California Employers’ Pension Prefunding Trust account with CalPERS. And finally, the board will be asked to approve a three-year trial of going to a cashless, pass system of bus fares.
