MBTA BOARD MEETS IN JOSHUA TREE TOMORROW

The Morongo Basin Transit Authority Board of Directors will meet 5 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at the MBTA Operations Center on Verbena Road in Joshua Tree. Under new business, the directors will hold two public hearings to accept grant requests totaling more than $800,000 for operating assistance and four replacement vehicles. Finally, the board members will be asked to revise its short range transit plan to include a Joshua Tree National Park feasibility analysis.
