The Morongo Basin Healthcare District’s Board of Directors, at their regular monthly business meeting, held Thursday (December 2), approved the employment contract naming Cynthia Schmall as the new Chief Executive Officer. Schmall replaces Mitchell Hall, who resigned after three months in the role. The appointment will go before the Morongo Basin Community Health Center’s governing board for approval as required by the co-application agreement between the two boards.
Schmall has been with the Morongo Basin Healthcare District for over five years, most recently in the position of Chief Operating Officer. She has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience, including serving human resources positions at Hi-Desert Medical Center from 1993 to 2006 and again in 2015 to 2016. She holds a Masters of Management degree from the University of Phoenix.
