The annual Martin Luther King Jr. march and prayer bowl, organized by the Twentynine Palms Bible Baptist Church, is a one-mile march on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, to recognize the civil rights leader. In the past, marchers walked on Adobe Road from Little Church of the Desert to Palms Baptist Church. Following the march, participants enjoyed a program with speakers, music, and free refreshments. This year, however, organizers said they had to cancel the march due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
