If you wonder about the safety of your tap water, bring a cup of it from home to the Water Education Day in Joshua Tree this Sunday. The test is free and the results are instant. Here’s Reporter Mike Lipsitz with all you need to know…
Water Education Day is this Sunday, March 31, at the Joshua Basin Water District. Now in its sixth year, Water Education Day brings together the resources of every water-related interest in the area for an afternoon featuring native plants with tips, tricks, and a seedling for sale. There are demonstrations and exhibits on landscaping, invasive weeds, irrigation, septic systems, and just about any other topic related to protecting our most valuable natural resource. Water Education Day is free. It all starts at 1 p.m. and continues until 4 p.m. at the Joshua Basin Water District offices and demonstration garden at Park Boulevard and Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
