A Twentynine Palms Marine lost part of his leg in a motorcycle crash at Luckie Park in Twentynine Palms Saturday. Investigators say Mike Gomez, 23, was riding his Suzuki racing motorcycle westbound on Joe Davis Drive at about 3:00 Saturday afternoon when he lost control and struck a stucco sign at Joe Davis Drive and Desert Knoll. Gomez sustained major injuries and was taken by Medical Helicopter to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.
