One Marine was killed and another injured during a live-fire training exercise Friday aboard the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center. The Marine Corps announced that the Marines were conducting unit training in preparation for the start of Integrated Training Exercise 2-17 when the accident happened about 5:05 p.m. The injured Marine was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. The Marine Corps has not yet released the names of the Marines.
