MARINE CORPS SAYS JOHNSON VALLEY EXERCISES ARE OVER UNTIL NEXT YEAR

The Marine Corps has announced that the shared use area in Johnson Valley is open once again to the public. The area was closed for the last two weeks while the Marine Corps conducted training exercises in the area. The closure included time for training and to clear the land of hazards prior to re-opening it for public access. In addition, in keeping with its commitment to give one-year advance notice of closure, the Marine Corps announced it will close the Johnson Valley shared use area again next year, August 1-30, for training.
