MARINE CORPS BASE VENDOR ACCUSED OF GRAND THEFT

A vendor at the base’s main exchange was arrested Thursday, accused of grand theft. According to a Sheriff’s report, Kace Yoshitomi, 42, of Desert Hot Springs went to the store Thursday to restock snacks and chips. While inside the store, Yoshitomi is accused of taking an Apple laptop and concealing it in a cardboard box, and then taking the box outside to his vehicle. Yoshitomi was stopped about 4 p.m. by store security, who then called Sheriff’s deputies to make the arrest. Kace Yoshitomi was arrested for investigation of grand theft and was released on a $50,000 bail bond.
