MARINE BASE PLANS A HIGH-FLYING FIREWORKS SHOW

The question is on the minds of many, with the current pandemic, what lies in store for the Fourth of July? Yucca Valley has postponed its fireworks show until Labor Day weekend. Reporter Cassidy Zimarik tells us how Twentynine Palms is adapting their fireworks show…

As they say, the show must go on! While social distancing recommendations prevent community gatherings for the 4th of July, the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is proud to announce their 2020 4th of July Fireworks Show! To adapt to the changing world we all currently live in, MCCS has planned a high-altitude fireworks show that will be visible on base and in Twentynine Palms, allowing most residents to comfortably watch the display from the safety of their own homes. If you can see the sky over the base, you can see the fireworks show.

The fireworks will start at 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 4 and will last approximately 20 minutes.

For more information on the show, you can check out the MCCS 29 Palms Facebook page.
