The Robert E. Bush Naval Hospital on board the Twentynine Palms Combat Center teamed up with Hi-Desert Medical Center for its “Healthy Over Hungry” Cereal Drive to benefit local area food banks. This was the first year the Naval Hospital contributed to the week-long fundraising event. the Naval Hospital delivered approximately 1,260 servings of cereal that will be added to Hi-Desert Medical Center’s overall contribution. All cereal donated to Hi-Desert Medical Center will be used locally at two food banks in the Morongo Basin, and monetary donations will go to a food pantry in Indio where the Morongo Basin food banks purchase supplies.
