Updated 6/1/20 10:30 a.m. with the victim’s names.
A Twentynine Palms Marine was arrested Friday, accused of murder in a fatal three-vehicle DUI crash last October that killed two people. Investigators say Gregory Oldham, 19, was driving his Toyota eastbound on Highway 62 just after 7 p.m. when it crossed into oncoming traffic near Peterson Avenue in Twentynine Palms and hit an Audi traveling westbound head-on. A Dodge traveling westbound collided with the debris and ran off the road. The passenger in Oldham’s Toyota, Lane Notah, 29, an active-duty sailor from Coronado, was ejected and killed. Menachem Goldbloom, 24, an active-duty Marine from Illinois, was a passenger in the Audi and was also killed at the scene. Five other people involved in the crash were injured and were taken to various hospitals. Gregory Oldham is charged with two counts of murder, two counts of driving under the influence, and speeding. His first court appearance is Monday afternoon in the Joshua Tree court.
