Mara’s Christmas Wish is in the final stretch of planning the 35th annual community Christmas dinner to be held at the Yucca Valley Community Center from noon to 6:30 p.m. on Christmas Day. Mara’s Christmas Wish, now a 501-C3 non-profit, lives on to make certain that the homeless, lonely, elderly, and impoverished among us who are in need of food, toys, or fellowship are provided for at least on Christmas Day. The event is only made possible because there was the necessary organization, thousands of volunteer hours, and financial support from everyday people. Receiving no government financial aid, Mara’s Christmas Wish cannot happen without tax-deductible financial support from the public.
