The Sheriff’s Department has identified the man whose body was found in the desert last week by a woman who was searching for her cat. On Wednesday, June 13, a woman was searching for her missing cat in the 71600 block of Indian Trail in Twentynine Palms when she stumbled on the body of a man, identified Tuesday as Ronald Scott, 37, of Twentynine Palms. The Sheriff’s homicide detail was called in to investigate the death, but a cause of death has not been released. Anyone with information should call Detective Julius McChristian at 909-387-3589.
