A man with an active warrant in Riverside county was arrested in Landers on suspected weapon and drug possession.
On Tuesday (November 19) at around 3 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling near the intersection of Old Woman Springs Road and Reche Road in Landers. Deputies identified the person in the vehicle as Mark Russell, 34, and say he was found to be in possession of a baton and suspected methamphetamine. Russell was also found to have an active warrant in Riverside County for charges related to identity theft.
Mark Russell was arrested on suspicion of possessing a leaded cane and his outstanding warrant, and is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $30,000 bail.
