A man escaped serious injury when he drove a truck through a brick wall and chain link fence, flew off an embankment, and landed on another truck Monday evening. About 7:25 p.m. the unidentified man was driving northbound on Sunny Vista, south of Friendly Hills Elementary School, when he lost control of the vehicle and drove through the intersection at Alta Loma and through the wall. After the crash, his truck ended up on its side. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was able to get out of his truck on his own; the other truck was unoccupied at the time of the crash. The driver was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs as a precaution.
