A man was critically injured when he was thrown from his motorcycle Monday afternoon following a collision in Yucca Valley. According to Sheriff’s reports, the man, identified only as being in his 50s, was riding his cruising-type motorcycle eastbound on Buena Vista about noon when the motorcycle and a small, SUV-type vehicle collided near Indio Avenue. The motorcycle rider was thrown about 100 feet. He was taken by ambulance to Desert Regional Medical Center. The other vehicle suffered significant damage to the front driver’s side.
