Man on bail heads back to jail for suspected assault in Landers

A man out of jail on bail was arrested for allegedly punching a woman in the face in Landers. 

On Tuesday (January 27) at around 7:15 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of battery in the 57500 block of Encantado Road in Landers. Deputies say that the suspect, Joshua Knecht, 51, punched another person in the face. Deputies say the victim declined medical treatment. 

Deputies say that Knecht is currently out of jail on bail for drug charges, and that he has several active warrants for violating probation.

Joshua Knecht was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and is being held at the West Valley Detention Center without bail.
