Man Injured After Motorcycle Pursuit Through Twentynine Palms

(Story updated to show no arrest because of hospitalization)

A man was hospitalized after leading authorities on a motorcycle chase through Twentynine Palms on Thursday (August 25).

Sheriff’s Deputies report that Jason Lamore, 36, was riding a motorcycle near Pinon Ave and Cedar Drive in Twentynine Palms, when Sheriffs initiated a traffic stop at around 8:30 p.m. Lamore failed to yield and led Sheriffs on an approximately 10-minute chase, heading west through Twentynine Palms area.

While on Highway 62 near the intersection of Adobe Rd, Lamore swerved his bike to avoid hitting another vehicle, losing control of the vehicle and crashing. Lamore sustained injuries, and Morongo Basin Ambulance responded to the scene, where they provided treatment before transporting Lamore to Desert Regional Medical Center.

Jason Lamore is a resident of Yucca Valley. A report will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review. He was not placed into custody as he is currently being treated for his injuries.
