A Joshua Tree man who was a little too intent on getting the title of his car from his ex-girlfriend ended up being arrested Sunday morning. According to a Sheriff’s report, Charles Bell, 28, went to his ex-girlfriend’s home in the 7400 block of Pinon Drive in Twentynine Palms to pick up the title to his vehicle about 10 a.m. When his ex refused to let him in, Bell crawled inside the house through an open window. The woman fled into the bathroom with her son and locked the door. After pounding on the bathroom door, the report states that Bell went into the bedroom where he found his car title. He then crawled back out of the window, and left in a 1994 Honda Del Sol. Deputies contacted Charles Bell near the intersection of Kerr Road and Highway 62 where he was arrested for investigation of burglary, and released on $25,000 bail.
