MAN CRITICALLY INJURED IN TRACTOR ACCIDENT AT YUCCA VALLEY GOLF COURSE

A 53-year-old construction worker was injured at the Hawks’ Landing Golf Course in Yucca Valley Monday morning. According to Fire Captain Rick Denison, Yucca Valley paramedics were called to the former Blue Skies Golf Course at 7:24 in response to a man being run over by a tractor. Denison said the man was an employee of Landscapes Unlimited, the contractor renovating the golf course. The man, who was not identified due to privacy rules, was riding on a front-end loader when he lost his balance and fell off. The driver of the tractor was not able to stop in time to avoid him, and the front and rear wheels of the tractor ran over the man’s torso. The man suffered critical injuries and was rushed by ambulance to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. This is the second tragic tractor accident in just two weeks. William Wire, 61, of Morongo Valley, was killed February 4 when he fell off his tractor and was run over.
