A Vista man was arrested Friday after he tried to enter the Combat Center with forged identification. Just before 9 a.m. deputies were called to the base’s main gate on Adobe Road by military police who said that Miguel Felix, 40, had tried to gain access to the base using a fictitious California identification card. Deputies determined the ID card was counterfeit. Miguel Felix was arrested for investigation of being in possession of a forged identification card with intent to defraud, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and released with no bail.
