A Highland man was arrested Tuesday, accused of breaking the windows of his ex-girlfriend’s house and car. Deputies were called to the 7600 block of Hopi Trail in Yucca Valley about 9:30 p.m. by a woman who said Karl Davis, 40, became angry when she refused to let him inside her house. She told deputies he assaulted her and took a baseball bat away from her. She said he then began bashing the windows on her car and her house, causing about $3,000 in damages. Karl Davis was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse and vandalism, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $100,000.
