A call for disturbing the peace ended with the arrest of a Grand Terrace man who had a shaved vehicle key that started a stolen vehicle. Deputies were called to the 5500 block of Lupine Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 1:15 p.m. where they learned that a man on probation was hiding inside the home. Deputies found Christopher Soares, 31, hiding inside a closet in the home. During a search of Soares, deputies found a shaved key that started a vehicle parked outside the home. Christopher Soares was arrested for investigation of being in possession of a stolen vehicle, and for felony vandalism, booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
