Man arrested for investigation into stolen mail in Yucca Valley

A man was arrested in Yucca Valley for investigation into stealing mail from several neighbors.
On Sunday (January 18) at around 2:00 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a pedestrian check near the intersection of Yucca Trail and Frontera Avenue in Yucca Valley. Deputies say that they contacted Josh Tarbellengel, a 43-year-old local resident and that he possessed several pieces of mail that did not contain his name. They confirmed the mail had been taken from multiple mailboxes in the area of Yucca Trail and Frontera Ave without the victims’ knowledge or permission. Deputies took Tarbellengel into custody and returned the mail to the respective victims.
Josh Tarbellengel was arrested on suspicion of mail theft and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. He has since been released on bail.
